Natus® Quantum™ / Quantum™ Nicolet®
A Quantum Leap in Amplifier Technology
in an Ultra-small Package
Natus introduces the most innovative and feature rich high channel amplifier for epilepsy monitoring and research. Intended specifically to meet the versatile needs of today’s leading Epilepsy Units and research centers, the Natus Quantum is a modular design featuring up to 256 channels for scalp and intracranial electrodes in a compact patient-wearable package. In a single package, neurologists have access to a high density array of referential channels, up to 16 KHz sampling, 16 DC inputs for physiological monitoring, up to 16 differential inputs, pulse oximetry and a photic stimulator.
Comfortable & Convenient
Maximize patient comfort by offering the smallest and lightest high density, wearable patient breakouts available. The patient experience comes first with this amplifier, enabling them to move from routine tests to long-term monitoring without removing and reapplying electrodes or being attached to large equipment through bulky cables. The patient can be set up quickly on the removable electrode boxes, all of which can be worn comfortably on a belt or in a harnessed pouch. Users can conveniently start a study in the patient room using the touchscreen LCD display to perform an impedance check.
More software integration means less manual work and human error. Users will appreciate the software controlled Digital Switch Matrix (DSM) and external cortical stimulator. The DSM facilitates functional brain mapping by allowing the user to use recording electrodes for stimulus delivery through the external cortical stimulator, while the software displays a synchronized visual representation of the stimulation results on the study record. Integration of the unique Stellate GridView™ software drastically simplifies correlating EEG patterns with electrodes on a 3D MRI / CT images, simplifying the visualization and annotation of intracranial recordings.
Data-Stream Wizard (DSW) ensures that researchers can record high quality data, sampled at up to 16 KHz with low noise, which will contain all clinical review notes throughout the studies clinical lifecycle prior to exporting to a research project for further analysis. This secondary data stream is seamlessly managed via the NeuroWorks® software to allow researchers to collect high sample rate data without impacting the speed of clinical review or day to day clinical operations.
Effortless Setup, Intuitive Workflow
Despite its advanced performance, the Quantum maintains Natus’s reputation for leading edge connectivity and cost-effective installation solutions. It operates on the flagship Natus NeuroWorks software platform, providing users with many convenient back-end and workflow benefits. A true DHCP addressable amplifier, the Quantum can connect to the recording station over the network or through standard USB connection. Real HD video, with multiple cameras, can be set up easily using the existing network and wireless infrastructure.
Like all NeuroWorks platforms, the Quantum package offers the most user-friendly workflow for a large number of users and stations, such as synchronizing user preferences and accessing studies from any networked station. Studies can be recorded to a local drive or directly to a networked computer or server, and organized and searchable on almost any database field. Enjoy these benefits with the peace of mind that your data is protected with the most advanced security features and data redundant systems in the industry.
