Introducing ICS® Dizcovery. It’s the first-ever videonystagmography (VNG) solution to offer all-in-one, plug and play goggles that work with a unified diagnostic software platform for VNG, video head impulse testing (vHIT), and caloric testing. A uniquely portable and precise tool, it revolutionizes your workflows, breaks down data silos, and reduces opportunities for error.
The status quo isn’t enough. On average, it takes four to five specialists five to seven years* to diagnose the cause of a patient’s dizziness, vertigo, or balance issues. ICS Dizcovery aims to change that. This trailblazing VNG solution transforms workflows and clarifies the clinical picture, so patients can get the help they need sooner.
Today’s clinical realities demand more. It’s time to expect more from balance assessment and rehabilitation solutions.
Not available in all countries. Please contact your local Natus representative for availability.
Use it where you need it.
Videonystagmography (VNG) assessment tools track eye and head movements to help ear, nose, and throat doctors (ENTs), audiologists, neurologists and physical therapists determine the cause of dizziness, vertigo, or balance issues and assess the impact of medical interventions. ICS Dizcovery’s unique approach uses a patented head-mounted laser target integrated into the testing goggles, eliminating the need for external monitors or light bars and minimizing opportunities for error. The all-in-one goggles connect via USB to a computer, where a modular software platform supports health care professionals with the right test package for their needs, along with step-by-step guidance and interpretation assistance. Together, ICS Dizcovery’s variety of hardware and software innovations significantly streamline workflows, improve VNG precision, lower subjectivity, and ensure consistent test conditions to clarify the clinical picture and help shorten time to diagnosis.
Smart and streamlined hardware
ICS Dizcovery reduces VNG setup to plug and play – simply connect the goggles to a laptop using the attached USB cord. The patented, integrated Freedom Laser™ makes the all-in-one design possible. The Freedom Laser eliminates the need for earth-fixed targets, reducing opportunities for error and enabling new levels of precision. Its small footprint, high portability, and modest weight (395 g) mean you don’t need a dedicated testing location. Plus, to minimize clinical interruptions for you, we’ve designed the goggles to be highly serviceable on site.
Software that makes sense
By uniting all the tests for ICS® Dizcovery, ICS® Impulse, and ICS® Aircal on the Otosuite® Vestibular platform, we ensure a smooth diagnostic experience and easy access to the complete picture. It’s also straightforward for a variety of specialists – for example, in a hybrid clinic – to review, share, and interpret a full range of balance tests. But even though ICS Dizcovery supports more than 100 different subtests, you never have to purchase all your functionality up front. Instead, the module-based platform allows you to start with what you need now and grow when it’s right for you.
Results you can trust
ICS Dizcovery supports the objectivity, consistency, and reliability you need for confidence in test results. Across the testing suite, the Freedom Laser and a high frame rate (up to 200fps) combine with high-definition binocular resolution (1280×1024) to set a new standard for precision. Innovations such as automated sight obstruction panels, Fit-2-Face™, and smooth ShadeShift™ technology eliminate light leakage and ensure truly vision denied. Meanwhile, the Otosuite® Vestibular software offers step-by-step guidance for each subtest and alerts you to errors in real time.
Once the testing is complete, the software flags abnormal results, and advanced interpretation assistance suggests possible causes.
Challenging the expectations about what technology can do is part of our cultural DNA. Our history of trailblazing VNG and vHIT solutions are proof, as are our outstanding service, education, and support programs. It’s also why you can be confident that we’ll keep working for you and your patients, now and into the future.
Each solution we build is meticulously developed to clarify the clinical picture and lower the friction in your workflows. We take the time we need to deliver excellence, and we stand behind our work. Just as importantly, we invest in our solutions for the long haul, planning and developing ongoing updates and improvements to ensure we keep raising the bar.
